NBS ACQUIRES OPERATIONS OF SIMLAB.NET
Purchase will enhance VoIP
and Managed Network Services Capabilities
WAYNE, NJ - June 2, 2008 - NBS announced today the purchase of the operations of Simlab.net, a New Jersey based managed service provider (MSP) that specializes in deploying managed private Wide Area Networks, Internet and VoIP services. The synergies available through such an acquisition became evident over time as Simlab and NBS had been providing services to each other for the past five years. Continuing efforts to expand and grow its influence in the VoIP and data services sector, NBS will add Simlab's resources to its already significant abilities. The combined resources will enhance NBS' capacity to provide traditional facilities based telecom, advanced IP voice communications and IT services as well as managed network services and high-speed internet connectivity.
"The synergies were obvious from the start," stated Jon Kaufman, NBS' founder and CEO. "The combined operation will seamlessly supply our customers with a suite of traditional and IP based voice services, along with a full complement of data and Internet services," he added. The integration of Simlab affords NBS the opportunity to add facilities based managed services status to its existing arsenal, and Simlab’s CPE and broadband solutions further strengthen NBS’ reputation as a complete communications provider, offering a true one-stop shop approach.
"As we continue to add new features, systems, and capabilities to our services platform, it is important that we maintain our leadership role in flexible, custom-tailored solutions," stated company President Russell P. Markman. He continued, "the addition of Simlab’s management team and employees provides us with this opportunity, through their experience and abilities in facilities based as well as carrier agnostic connectivity, WAN deployment, and QoS intensive applications.”
“Everyone from Simlab is excited to be joining the NBS team,” stated Anthony Hidalgo, former EVP of Simlab.net, who joined NBS as VP of Product Development. “Not only are the combined product offerings a marriage made in heaven, the combination of employee talent and overall industry knowledge gives NBS a major advantage over its competition.”
The combined company expects that its clients and distributors will quickly reap the rewards of this acquisition, as NBS evolves into a diverse entity that is now facilities based CLEC and Managed Service Provider, as well as reseller and wholesaler of the same. As an advanced next generation telecom provider, the combined company validates even further NBS’ longstanding OneSource philosophy; offering complete end-to-end voice and data communications solutions to its customers nation-wide.
