WAYNE, NJ - September 21, 2007 - NBS, a NY-Metro area telecommunications provider and reseller, announced today that long time MCI VP of Indirect Channel, George Hampton, had joined the company in the role of Vice President – Business Development. George has a long association with NBS, working closely with company founder Jon Kaufman as he climbed the ranks through the Metromedia, WorldCom, and MCI organizations. “With all the changes, innovations, and even turmoil I’ve witnessed in the telecom industry over the past 20 years, NBS has been unique in its ability to continually grow and prosper,” stated Hampton. He added, “I was attracted to their ability to avoid the pitfalls and still stay in a leadership role with cutting edge products, aggressive pricing, and strong commission plans.”

NBS President Russell Markman stated “I’ve admired George’s business acumen and understanding of channel partner needs since first dealing with him as an agent myself in the early 90’s, and I am delighted he has joined the NBS family. The industry-wide respect George has attained is richly deserved.” Reiterating his enthusiasm for the task ahead, Mr. Hampton stated, “I look forward to contributing significantly to the continued expansion and growth of the company.”

With over 25 years in telecom George is no newcomer to the industry. His accomplishments include successfully overseeing and managing MCI’s entire agent channel. George’s professionalism and experience fit in perfectly with the NBS vision for growth and continuing excellence. Mr. Hampton will have the responsibility of procuring new partner relationships for NBS and developing initiatives to further benefit the agent channel. Both Mr. Hampton and the rest of the NBS crew will be available to speak with any interested parties at the upcoming Channel Partners show. This event runs from September 26th-28th at the Meadowlands Expo Center in Secaucus, NJ (NBS is exhibiting at booths 408-410).
